Effective Date: July 3, 2026
The following Refund Policy applies to all Certificate, Accredited Certification, and Diploma programs offered by The GPS Initiative. By enrolling in a program, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Refund Policy.
All application fees, registration fees, technology fees, credential issuance fees, transcript fees, and other administrative fees are non-refundable.
Students who cancel their enrollment before the first scheduled class session are eligible to receive a 100% refund of tuition paid, less any applicable non-refundable fees. Requests for cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Admissions Office prior to the first scheduled class.
Due to the immediate delivery of instructional content, course materials, and academic resources, no tuition refund will be issued after a student has attended the first scheduled class session or after two (2) hours of instruction have elapsed, whichever occurs first. This policy applies regardless of whether the program is delivered virtually, live online, or through any other approved instructional format.
For virtual programs, attendance begins when a student first joins a live class, accesses course content, participates in instruction, submits coursework, or otherwise engages with learning materials. Once the first class has been attended or two (2) hours of instruction have been completed, the program is considered to have commenced and no refund will be issued.
Students who choose to discontinue their studies must submit written notice of withdrawal to the Registrar or Admissions Office. Failure to attend classes, discontinue participation, or stop making payments without providing official written notice does not constitute withdrawal and does not release the student from any remaining financial obligations under an approved payment plan.
Students enrolled under an approved payment plan remain responsible for all tuition and fees outlined in their Enrollment Agreement once the first class has been attended or two (2) hours of instruction have been completed.
Students dismissed for academic dishonesty, misconduct, violations of institutional policies, or disciplinary action are not eligible for a tuition refund.
If tuition has been paid by an employer, church, sponsoring organization, scholarship provider, or government agency, any approved refund will be issued to the original funding source in accordance with the applicable funding agreement.
The GPS Initiative reserves the right to review documented extraordinary circumstances, including military deployment or situations otherwise required by applicable law, on a case-by-case basis. Any exception to this policy is granted solely at the discretion of The GPS Initiative and does not establish a precedent for future requests.
Approved refunds, when applicable, will be processed within thirty (30) business days after all required documentation has been received and verified.
Questions regarding this Refund Policy should be directed to the Admissions Office prior to enrollment.
